Greek migrants in the Czech Republic

The author starts by portraying the group covered by the study and by introducing the history of Greek migration in the 20th century. Controlled migration of Greeks into Czechoslovakia is also put into a historical perspective. One part of the study covers the professional development of Greek immigrants in the Czech Republic and their economic activities. The next part investigates the religious, cultural and social life of the Greek community in the Czech Republic. The study’s descriptive part ends with chapters on housing and the living conditions of Greeks. The analytical part focuses on the phenomenon of Greek re-emigration and the internal development of the Greek community (relation rules). The final section deals with the integration and assimilation of Greek immigrants in the Czech Republic.
